Standing In the Gap for Prayer!
Prayer Guardians Serving Chaplains Through Prayer

Intercession is an act of love: Praying for others demonstrates selflessness and concern for their spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being.

Prayer is powerful and effective: Scripture repeatedly affirms that the prayers of the righteous can bring healing, guidance, and blessings.

Purpose
 The Purpose: The Chaplain Prayer Guardian team will play a vital role in helping and supporting their chaplain peers through prayer.
 The Objective: The primary goal is for intercession, while supporting spiritual growth in times of need, and in addressing the prayer need.
 The Path: Prayer Guardians must always be aligned with scripture for guidance and direction in praying for others.

Standing in The Gap
 Prayer Essence & Intercession: Communication with God. We must stand in the gap and pray for our peers in troubling times of sickness, grieving, loss, family, stress, financial, etc.
 Prayer: Must be lifted for the purpose of each chaplains need.
 Prayer: Must always start or end with Scripture.
 Prayer: Must be kept within a time limit per chaplain.
 Prayer: Is not for the purpose of finding out each chaplain members personal business, it’s about their need at the moment.

Pray, don't Preach
 Prayer: Should never be turned into a sermon.
 Prayer: Time with each chaplain member should run between a 10–30-minute timeframe.
 Prayer: Prayer is not preaching, or prophesying to chaplain members, the time is for praying.
 Prayer: When praying please refrain from telling your chaplain member what the Holy Spirit is saying to you, all believers in Christ have access to the Holy Spirit, and the Spirit of God may not be saying to them what you say He's saying to you.
 Prayer: Respect must be always adhered to.
 Prayer: Address the person you’re speaking with by chaplain and their first name.
 Prayer: Ask the person what they would like or need prayed for.
 Prayer: No Political discussions.
