What is Fellowship? Christian fellowship occurs when two or more Christians are in one another's company.
The dictionary defines fellowship as "friendly association with others; companionship."
Christian fellowship, involves a friendly association with other Christians as companions.
What Does it Mean for Me? Fellowship begins through a process of adoption.
Are you a Christian today?
If you are, you have been adopted by God. You may have heard it said that we are all God's children, but the truth is, we don't become God's children until we are adopted, through faith in Christ.
If we were all God's children by virtue of being His creation, then adoption wouldn't be necessary.
He predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will. (Ephesians 1:5)
Fellowship - Where Do I Find It?
Christian fellowship is critical! Being in the company of people who think like you do is very important to your growth  as a Christian. Fellowship exists to help individuals become who God made them to be.
Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? And what fellowship can light have with darkness? (2 Corinthians 6:14 NIV)
Fellowship Purpose. Is one of God's principle purposes for human beings. That is why we all feel the need for companionship, love, and belonging. God created the perfect "organization" for fellowship, and that is the family. A family of believers who are committed to Loving God, people led by Christ to bring hope, strength, and change to the world.Christians are members of God's family, and so we now have many new brothers and sisters who are related to us by blood, Jesus' blood.
